Now that you have completed your mandatory 12 Essential Driver Training Lessons are you fully ready to take your test?  At Sallyann’s driving school we know from years of experience that it is essential to be properly prepared in all aspects of the test to ensure that you meet the rigorous testing standards of an RSA driving test.

To give you the best possible chance of successfully completing your test on the big day we will take you through a time-tested process to polish off your skills and, using a client-centred approach, put you in a calm and confident state, ready to take your test. 

A Pre-Test Specialist

Sallyann’s Driving School is a pre-test specialist and has helped hundreds of students just like you pass their test the first time.  Sallyann is not just an Approved Driving Instructor but is also QQI qualified in “Train the Trainer” so she knows exactly what your examiner will be testing you on and observing on the day of your test. 

A thorough Pre-Test is more than just a Mock test.  We will both test your theoretical knowledge and then review all of the technical aspects of driving which you will need to demonstrate on the day of your test including:

  • Use of the vehicle controls
  • Moving off
  • Hill starts
  • Turning into both major and minor roads
  • Driving in traffic
  • Road position
  • Use of mirrors and signals
  • Anticipation and observation
  • Speed and progress
  • Overtaking and passing
  • Observation and compliance with traffic lights
  • Observation and compliance with road signs and markings
  • reversing around corners
  • Stopping and parking
  • 3-Point turns
  • Hand signals

We will also:

  • Explain the format of the test,
  • Explain the assessor’s check list and
  • Prepare you for each step
  • Test and refine your skills in complex situations and
  • Teach you your test route
  • Teach and practice any of the tricky sections of the route
